Over The Weekend
It’s kind of a challenge being positive today as I’m nursing really bad stomach cramps due to my period. But it might not be that bad – I just don’t get cramps so maybe I’m not used to the feeling.
Anyway, bad stuff aside, it was quite a weekend for me. Albeit having to spend a couple of days by myself almost the entire day everyday, I got to take advantage of those days by spending time with my guy.
On Saturday, I did some house chores and got to have a little me time where I watched Sex And The City, my all-time favorite movie, and read a book, which I no longer have time for these things (no thanks, social media!).
That night, my guy and I went to B-Side (Makati) for this rock concert. But as one would expect, it was very crowded. Aside from having a huge bag in tow, we thought it wouldn’t be as fun squeezing ourselves in the crowd. So we just had a quick meal and went to Minokaua in Adriatico, our backup plan.
It was kinda sad that they were only a few people who watched, but the lack of audience actually made the evening more intimate. Hot Club of Manila serenaded us with swing music. It was super chill and nice. They were all professional musicians, and it was so casual that they were smiling and laughing while playing.
On Sunday, I did my mom’s laundry & went to Jec’s to accompany him in looking for a sofa bed. Then we got a bunch of food and stayed at his house that night. I have weird cravings right now. I’m not sure what’s happening. LOL.
It bothers me so much that my feet ache easily now. All it takes is a 10-minute walk and I’m done for the day. The rest of the time I just suck it up. I don’t know if it has to do with my weight, but it’s not like I’m super heavy now. I gained weight, sure, but I’m not any bigger than I were a couple of months back. I just find it weird because I used to be able to walk so much. But now my energy has decreased significantly. Not just with walking, but with other activities as well. Like I need to take breaks in between chores or I’d get exhausted easily. It’s so weird and kinda worrisome.
