If you follow me on my social media accounts, you’ve probably already noticed that I’m currently on a workout hype. My behavior lies on both ends of the spectrum – on either extremes.  It’s either a NO or GO for me. Sometimes I get really down and not workout for weeks. But there are days that I live and breathe working out. Right now, I’m in the second mode. I always share my workouts on my social media accounts because I know how it feels to be so clueless about exercises. I once started that way, too, even ignoring the dumbbells as much as I could for fear of looking muscular because then I didn’t know better (more on this later). I’m also not a very secretive person. In fact, I’d like to believe I’m the complete opposite. I like sharing stuff with others because.. well, I’m not sure why, but it’s in my nature.

Anyway, I’ve already posted several workout programs on my blog yet I never focus too much on equipment. And it’s so odd that I never realized this until Rae, a fellow blogger and friend, pointed it out to me.  I mean, really, Bae? You blog about exercises but not what you actually use when exercising?

So to make up for that, I’m writing this blog post! *throws confetti*

Disclaimer: Let’s keep this on a personal level since I know most of my readers are not extreme gym goers.  In fact, let’s tackle equipment that you can use at home.  Now, you’ll have one less excuse for ditching that “Home Workout” video on YouTube. 😉

“You don’t have to be great to start; you just have to start to be great.”

I’m an advocate of a fit lifestyle. Noticed how I ditched “healthy” from “healthy and fit lifestyle”? Hint: DQ Blizzard is my weakness. But more often than not, I feel like a fraud. How can I be an advocate of that if I barely workout? If I constantly rely on motivation to keep me moving? What if there’s no motivation? What if there was no one to constantly push me to be better? Then I will most likely remain stagnant, right? I don’t want that. No one wants that ever for himself. But no matter how much I fall back, I always try. I try, and try, and try.

Yesterday, I aimed to workout just for the sake of it. Try lang. Baka sakali, okay pa kami. Pwede pa sa akin.  So I did. I tried.  Along the way, I took videos of me working out. This morning, I compiled them and wrote out captions for each video and shared them on my Facebook account. I’m really glad some people reached out to me and said, “Thanks for sharing that. It really motivated me to start working out again,” and stuff like that. It’s heartwarming, really. I appreciate that my friends acknowledge my goals to be better.

So I’m writing this blog post to spread the good vibes. I know this may sound redundant as I’ve already published these earlier on my social media platforms, but I’m still including it on my blog since I want to use The Bae Blogs as a platform that reaches out to others and helps them be better versions of themselves.  💖 Hopefully, you get a dash of inspiration after reading this. And I really hope you will read everything because I have a handful of tips for you!

(Oh, and this is also for those who don’t follow me on my social media platforms and only follow my blog! Hey, you, this is my effort in reaching out to you!)

I know I’m a blabbermouth on social media and on my blog, but I feel like I’m limiting the things I share. Not that I have to share every single thing that’s happening in my life, but I feel like I have this duty to allow my readers to know me better. A couple of days ago, @thefitpinay tagged me on an Instagram photo so I’m thanking her in the form of this “10 random facts about me” list.

It’s been six months since I last went to the gym. Sure, I worked out here and there but they were nothing serious or exhausting. But I could also say it’s because my stamina is getting lower so I couldn’t keep up with my usual program or I needed to lower my weights. After contemplating for about an hour, I finally gave in and went to the gym. It could have been as simple as going to the mall. You know, changing your clothes, putting on your shoes, and walking out the door. But it wasn’t as easy for me. I was so scared to go to the gym for fear that people might judge me.

I know I shouldn’t think that way, but I couldn’t help it. I mean, who am I kidding? Of all people, those gym buffs working out in my local gym should be the ones to understand the most that setbacks happen and, for some people, it’s not easy to be consistent with their programs and meal plans. I am one of those people.

In line with my going back to working out, I want to write this reference list for other bloggers out there who are starting their own fitness journeys. Actually, whoever, you are, if you find my stuff interesting and helpful, then thanks! Feel free to bookmark my blog posts or visit my blog whenever necessary. Here’s the thing, though, I’m all about natural weight loss, exercise, etc. I’m not going to support you if I find out you’re taking Bangkok pills, waist training in lieu of actually working out, taking slimming teas, other diet pills or similar products that do not have therapeutic claims. Those are really risky, to be honest.

I know I have categories and tags on my blog, but some of those fitness-related blog posts are quite hard to find. Thus, I’m just going to compile everything here. At least the ones I’ve written so far.

Click on the headers to be directed to their respective links! 🙂
